A few of my friends have been shooting some ideas at me. I love it.
I love to gather inspiration from everywhere. My friend, Jackie, gave me this a while back. I haven’t had any marbles. No, I didn’t lose them. I just never had them to begin with. However, I was at someone’s house the other day who had a ton of marbles. They were nice enough to let me steal a few so I could finally do this easy yet fabulous idea.
All you need is a hot glue gun, a CD you no longer care about and a marble.
Glue your marble onto the center of the CD. The marble nests in the hole perfectly. You want the image you want to see on top facing up as your glue the marble down. My husband brought up that we should have made some designs for the top of the CD so we could watch it spin. That would have been cool. Maybe we’ll add on to it later. It would be easy and add a new element to the craft.
These spinning tops keep going and going. We should really have a contest to see how long we could get it to spin. This activity is great for working on fine motor skills. They all had fun spinning their homemade top.

Thanks for visiting my blog so I would find this amazing idea! My kids with LOVE this. I’m pinning it so I don’t forget! (I tend to do that a lot these days!)
Thank you so much. I’m glad you added me to Google+ too. Thank you for pinning and sharing! Look forward to getting to know you and your blog more.

Thanks so much for stopping by The Thriftiness Miss too. Hope your weekend is going well.
Very simple and fun activity! I have a bunch of old cds that I could use for this. Thanks for sharing at Mom’s Library!
