We had a little bit of a drive today, so I took this time to focus on worship music. I intentionally kept the worship music on loud, encouraging them to really try and pay attention to the words. Toward the beginning of each song, I’d turn it down and tell them the main lyrics so they could try and learn to sing along or let the attributes of God they were hearing about enter their hearts and minds. I don’t want to try and create a feeling that isn’t there, so I intentionally haven’t told them specifically how they should respond to the music. I have given Biblical examples of how people do worship. However, I want any worship that flows from them to be genuine, so I left it up to them to listen and respond if desired. They mostly just listened. Here are some links to worship list songs so you can pick and choose the ones you and your family might enjoy. I also love the Christ Tomlin Pandora channel.
