Day #299 – Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze

Family Traditions – gotta love them. I love going to the pumpkin patch with the family. This year our weekends have been jammed packed or it has been raining. That meant we weren’t going to be able to find time to go as a family. However, I just couldn’t let that stop us. Of course, I’d rather have my husband along for the ride, but the weekday (while he was working) seemed to be the only time I could find to make it happen. So, we took off to the pumpkin patch and corn maze after I picked up Abby from school. We tromped through the mud and had a blast. At times I felt like a crazy lady as I tried to navigate 3 small children in a 2.2 mile corn maze by myself. We did get turned around, but we were able to find 4 out of 7 “mailboxes,” which I felt was pretty good. I could tell the kids were reaching their end, so we headed for the exit before mission was accomplished. We flung pumpkins and picked out our own. We visited animals and played in different areas of the farm. I always encourage you to find places like this in your area so you can start your own traditions. Here are some pictures from our time:
