Day #297 – Make Your Own Cupcake Liner with Free Printable

Making your own cupcake liner is really very simple. I was asked to make Paisley cupcakes for a baby shower. I found a way to bring it into the decorations, but I wanted a liner that would work too. Now, this is not a liner you bake. You put the baked cupcake with it’s original liner into this sleeve. Therefore, you can find any paper you love or fits your theme, and make these simple liners to bring your design to the next level.

Here’s a printable my husband made for you. Click on the link, copy it straight onto your paper or make a template to trace.

Once your paper has the shape on it, cut it out. I had fancy scissors that I used for the top.

Something I have learned from doing this blog, is your kids can be involved in more projects than you originally imagined…and they thrive on it. I used to wait for project like this until my kids went to bed. Now, they ask to help, and I find they actually can be really helpful, making the project go faster. Abby, was my tape girl helping me get all the pieces to the right length and taping with me. All you do is tape the two ends together. I had clear tape. I used a piece for the inside and outside.

I had originally made the cupcake liners too big, so I had to trim some off. Kenzie spent her time making them all into bracelets with tape. See how your kids will enjoy time just being near you?
