Part of being creative is being resourceful and thinking outside the box. Tonight I announced we’d be having ice cream for dessert. We definitely don’t do dessert every night, but tonight was an exception. The kids were excited, and when we were gathering up the bowls, ice cream and chocolate sauce, I told my kids they would need to get something to eat it with. They, of course, headed toward the silverware drawer. “Sorry,” I said, “You can’t get anything out of that drawer.” They looked at me perplexed. I told them they had to be creative and come up with another solution for eating their ice cream. Kenzie landed on a melon baller and Abby a tablespoon.
