Creativity comes in all forms. One of those forms is in creative writing and story telling. Today, we did the classic game of building a story together. One person begins the story. When there is a pause, the next person continues on. Then, the next person goes. You keep going around and around until the story comes to a logical conclusion. I was curious if this would work with my girls because they are still young. We actually came up with a fairly creative, fun story about a guy named Magnus (Kenzie came up with that name) who had a magic coin. If he threw it in the air three times, he would become a giant. One day a large horse came to his kingdom. He decided to use his coin, so he threw it up in the air three times and became a giant. He got on the horse and rode around to a lot of other towns. He soon came to a place with a big castle. He wanted it so bad that he tied it to the horse and brought it back to his own kingdom, dragging it all over the country. The girls smiles spoke volumes. We really all did create about 1/3 of the story, so their little creative minds are working.
