I will throw house tips in with my parenting tips every once in a while. Ever notice that at times your fruit seems to ripen way too fast. I was wondering why quite a while back. I didn’t want my fruit to go bad so quickly. I found the answer…apples. Apples give off ethylene. Apparently this breaks down the cells of the fruit. Since I discovered this, I keep my apples in a separate bowl to increase their shelf life. However, if you want some of your fruit to ripen faster, throw it in a bag with an apple, an it will speed up the process. Apples will even ripen each other, so if you want apples to ripen at different times, you can even separate them from each other. Since discovering this, the longevity of my fruit has definitely increased.

Okay this helps me SO much! Thanks!
This is an excellent tip! I was wondering the exact same thing about my fruit. I put the fruit together because it looks pretty in the bowl. Now I will separate those apples!
