Pollyanna – a favorite childhood movie. I was nostalgic watching it again with my kids. I definitely had happy thoughts while watching it. When we were headed into the optimism week, I knew this was a movie I wanted to share with the girls. If you are not familiar, Pollyanna plays the “glad game,” trying to find the positive in all situations. She changes a whole town for the better because of her outlook on life. When we stuck the VHS tape in…yes, VHS tape…I wasn’t disappointed as I watched the movie again. I did explain things a bit as we were watching. I think they enjoyed it and were able to get the vision that being positive can really change other people’s outlook on life.
