Yes, it’s important to pray for your kids when they are around too. I’m not excluding that. However, I want to encourage you to go into their setting, sit on their bed and lift them up to the Lord in prayer. I used to do this when I was teaching in a classroom. If I was struggling with some of the kids, I’d go in early and sit in their desk and pray for them. It gave me such a different perspective of the student. I would suddenly be exposed to how much God loves and cares about them. It made a huge difference in my day when I would take the time to practice this discipline. I think it will help you in your perspective with your kids too. If you sit on, kneel by or lay on their bed, I believe you will reach a new depth in your prayers for them. It keeps you focused, helps you see the world from their view and makes sure that you let go of your kids into the Lords’ hands. After all, He is the only one who has the ability to really capture their hearts.

I love it when God uses a stranger to remind me of what I need to be doing! I pray God’s blessing on you and your family.
I’m so glad this post will bless both you and your family. Thanks for making me smile this morning.
