I hope you have been hanging around here long enough to know my heart for family, marriage and parenting. Part of showing your kid love is complimenting them or giving them a hug or a kiss for no reason at all. I’m not going to go into a long explanation of the benefit of hugging your child. I did that in my post about being affectionate. All I’m going to say is, the very next time you see your child give them a big hug or kiss for no reason at all. Do it for your spouse as well.
Beautiful! I am constantly giving my kids hugs, kisses and telling them I love them, just because. The result? Adorably loving children who like to climb up and give you a kiss or a hug, or tell you they love you, just because
I love that. It warms my heart to think about that long term goal. I am always amazed that kids grow up never been told they are loved. I am constantly saying it, and I am hoping they see it in my actions too.
