I was talking to a friend today who has wonderfully behaved kids who seem to get along really well. I asked them if they have any tips or clutch phrases they use in their home. She spoke about how she likes to try and keep things positive and like us, tries to ask for the behavior they want rather than what they don’t want. One of the phrases they use is, “Be a peacemaker.” It is a way to ask for the behavior you want rather than saying something like, “Stop fighting!” I am going to adopt this as one of our clutch phrases.
