I love living in the Pacific NW. Yes, we do get a lot of rain. I love, however, that I grew up so close to the Puget Sound, lakes, mountains, and city. There are all sorts of landscapes to enjoy here. Today, we did.
We were able to go down to the water and turn over rocks to find crabs scurrying about. My kids never have done this before, so there were a lot of squeals of delight. We walked down on the boardwalk by the water also.
My sister has a great fenced in, kid friendly back yard, so they spent a lot of time outdoors there.
In the evening, we celebrated Abby and Lucy’s birthday with Key Lime Pie (my sister was craving it after seeing it on this site), presents and a dance party.
I know you all don’t live by the ocean so can’t hunt for crabs of your own. I guess this post is encouraging you to get out in your own environment and really enjoy this world we’ve been given. There is so much to discover in this world, so try to find a unique outing in your own setting and do it.
