The other day I was wondering about how old your child has to be before they can bathe without an adult in the room. I still am in with the girls, but I didn’t know when that would end. I looked it up on Parenting.com and found the first parent talking about her 3 year old drowning in the bath. There were a couple more people talking about incidents with older kids. I didn’t get a direct answer, but I figure I’m going to stay in the bathroom with them for quite some time. However, I did see one piece of good advice. If you need to run into the hall briefly for a towel from the linen closet or something else that will only take a minute, you can have them sing the ABC’s or something so you can hear them the whole time. I thought that was a really good idea for those older kids that you think you can trust in the bath. Never leave your smaller child unattended – even to go for a towel. I just have heard horrible stories. Only do the singing idea if you are within ear shot and will be away from your older child briefly.

Beautiful eyes and this is a GREAT idea.
Thanks! Ever since she was a baby we’ve always said it looks like she’s wearing eye liner.
