· I have a number of families I admire that have older kids now. The kids love their family and their siblings. You have seen them get through so many of the intense training years and watched the family and kids stay close. What is the secret? Well, there’s a lot of them. However, one I’ve learned by observation and direct teaching is to try and create “buy in” to your family. You want the kids to want to be a part of what you have to offer. Part of that comes in making things fun. You want your house to be the type of place that people want to gather. You know those homes? You walk into them, and you just want to stay. They are people that are filled with care and love, but you can see there is the element of fun too. If you make your own lives desirable by staying fun, positive, and loving, they want to be a part of it. They will hopefully begin to buy the rest of what you’re teaching them.
