Day #104 Tip – Read Books Together

·      It’s never too young to start reading to your kids.  That’s how they learn language.  Once you’ve started, don’t stop. There are so many teachable moments in books.  There are great moral lessons as well as time to laugh or be sentimental or discuss plots and situations.  Engage in the book and your child.  Ask questions as you are reading.  “What would you do?” “What do you think will happen next?” “What was your favorite part?” Often times, book reading brings you physically close, which will aid in your child-parent bonding.
