Rainbow Garland
I’ve seen a lot of people do paint chip garlands, and I decided to try my own versions. I basically just sewed a bunch of paint samples together.
At our rainbow party this coming weekend, each invited girl was able to choose their color of the rainbow. I wanted their little mason jars, drink inside and straw to match their assigned color. We took the mason jar lids, traced around them onto left over fabric from Kenzie’s rainbow skirt and will be drilling holes in the top for the straws. I bought Kool-Aid of all the different colors of the rainbow, and the jars will be filled accordingly. The girls were able to trace around the lids and screw the jars back together to help.
We were also able to prep all the goody bags today. Each girl gets to take home a take-out box with a bunch of rainbow things as well as items of their color. Their gifts included play-doh, hair ties, the headband we made them, eraser, pencil, rainbow pen notepad and silly straw. The girls helped organize the colors and put the boxes together.

This is looks like a lot of fun, I wish I knew how to use a sewing machine.
I fumble my way through it. I just have a cheap one from Costco to get me through the most basic jobs.
So cute! I love the lids! I would love for you to share your great ideas on Saturday Show & Tell!
