Day #76 – Rainbow Shaving Cream Bath Fun

When I first started off this blog, my younger sister told me I should do this activity.  I finally got around to it.  It fits perfect in our St. Patrick’s week.  My husband started the bath while I mixed up the colors.  This is just shaving cream mixed with food coloring.  I then poked my head in the bathroom and said, “I forgot. Where did the leprechauns hide all their gold?” After they  said at the end of the rainbow, I came in with this foamy bath paint.  The kids had a blast decorating the walls and then had even more fun when they realized they could decorate themselves.

  3. Cute activity! Do you think it would make my shower cleaner when they were done? :)

    • My poor shower. I’m always neglecting it when I do the cleaning rounds. My concern was that I’d dye the grout rainbow colors, but it turned out OK. Thanks so much for commenting.

  4. What a fun idea, we used to add shaving foam to tempura paint to use on paper when the kids were little, this idea looks fun, it is nice that you can make such pretty colors with food coloring. Stopping by from TGIF link up. happy St. Patrick’s Day!

    • I did the tempura paint with shaving cream when I did my art ed class back in school. I’ve wanted to do that. Thanks for the reminder. I’m glad you stopped by here.

  15. We enjoyed this so much. They were giddy over it and it is now my new favorite bribe. “who wants to have a body paint bath tonight???”
It didn’t stain the tub at all, but it did stain the kids for 2 days, which they loved!
