Sensitivity
“…so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” – Romans 12:5
Our “I Will” Board this week also contained the phrase, “I will notice tone of voice.” People communicate through a variety of means. One of those is their tone of voice, and I want my kids to be aware and sensitive to hearing what is being said by tone of voice rather than just words. Therefore, we did a little role playing. I started and said the same phrase over and over. I would just change my tone of voice. The words never changed, but the meaning did based on my expression. I then had the girls do it, and I guessed. I got a little YouTube clip of Abby and Kenzie practicing this. Yes, I do know my daughter has a huge balloon attached to the top of her head. Yes, I do know that my daughter is a tad dramatic. Trust me! I have no idea where she gets it from.
I’m going to add a link just in case the YouTube video doesn’t work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMAkPorYc8I&context=C412ab2fADvjVQa1PpcFO8IfGK_47Vc-fBAcBiwzQKhNi2rVFJFVE=
