This is more of a house keeping tip then a parenting tip. I learned this one from a friend of mine when we were on vacation together. You know the tin can you keep under the sink with the bacon grease? This is what my family always did, and I was always grossed out by it, but it’s what you do, so I did it too…until I learned this tip. You take a cup and make a little foil cup inside of it. I fold the foil in half and carefully tuck it into the cup with the foil holding onto the rim of the cup. You can pour your grease in there, and when it solidifies, throw it away. You can rid yourself of the tin can. If you like the tin can, you can do this tip when you don’t have a can.
