Day #67 Orderliness in Books – Character Development, Week #10

Orderliness
But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.”  – 1 Corinthians 14:40

Another day to look at our character development word through books.  We were able to find these at our church library.  Kids learn through and identify with books.  It always seems to solidify the points I’m trying to drive home.

The girls were also excited to jump into their chore ring and start earning some money.  Kept them occupied for quite a while, I had time to do some of my jobs around the house, they were playing (well really working) independently, and the house wasn’t getting messier.  It was actually getting cleaner.  Loving this so far.

  1. I was inspired after reading about your chore ring to come up with a list of jobs around here that I don’t like to do or right now am unable to do but the older kids are capable of doing. I will be assigning money amounts to each job as well. They seem happy about that too.

  2. Yeah, it’s a win, win in my book. Glad you were inspired. We’re all inspired around here too. I hope the excitement lasts.
