Day #63 Kindness in Random Acts – Character Development, Week #9

We decided to end our week of kindness as a family.  We wanted to go around tonight doing random acts of kindness for people  Hopefully, it will inspire our kids, the strangers that received, and you out there in internet world to “pay it forward.” We talked along the way about how it would make them feel if these nice things happened to them.  By having them reflect on how it would make them feel, it internalizes part of why we do it and really gets to their hearts.  Our ideas:

Pay for someone’s coffee at Starbucks.
Random Acts of Kindness 1 Starbucks
Put money in a vending machine for the next person who might come along.
Random Acts of Kindness 2 change in soda machine
Take cookies to people – for us, it was a widow, our own family and people we know who are struggling financially.  You can link through to my chocolate chip cookie recipe…our favorite.
Random Acts of Kindness 3 cookies for neighbor
Send an E-Card to Grandma just to say, “I Love You”.
Random Acts of Kindness 4 e-card for Grandma love you
Give Flowers to a Stranger (this one ended up being my favorite as we delivered these flowers to a woman at the bus stop):
Random Acts of Kindness 5 flowers for stranger
