Obedience
“Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” – Luke 11:28
This afternoon my son broke out with a temperature of between 101-102.9, so he was out of sorts and needing to be in my lap most of the time, poor little guy. So, today’s lesson in obedience had to be simple and something I could do with a baby on my lap. We played “Mother, may I?” and “Simon Says.” The girls have played “Simon Says” before, but this was our first attempt at “Mother, may I?” It was fun. I hadn’t played it since I was a kid, so it all came back to me at once saying they could do 5 bunny hops, 3 giant steps, 2 baby steps, etc. Each time I told them what to do, they had to say “Mother, may I?” If I said, “Yes, you may.” They were able to move. Both games are a perfect parallel to obedience.
