Obedience
“Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” – Luke 11:28
We had a lesson about obedience while picking up the upstairs. I emphasized that we were going to see how well we could obey my instructions while we were tidying up. Our upstairs is kind of our kid zone. The kids rooms are up there, and there is a little play area. It often ends up littered with toys. I wanted to see how well the kids could obey with some direct instruction in putting things away. I went up, and I just rallied the troops. “Pick up all the kitchen stuff and put it away, Abby. Kenzie, pick up your baby doll stuff and put it in a bin.” Clean up went smoothly and quickly. They did a great job obeying.
