Week #6 Character Development – Love, Day #39

Love
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

Today we made a Heart Chain with 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

All you do is fold a fan and draw a half a heart connected on both sides (as shown below.  Cut it out.  As Abby opened it, I loved the expression on her face because she had no idea what we were making.  I traced this and did a number of them that I taped together.  Then I wrote the different elements of the verses above.  As I wrote each one down I discussed the meaning with the girls.
