I’ve already admitted that I am out of town. I have tried to prepare ahead of time, so I can still provide you with 365 days of how to be intentional in your parenting. This cake and activity I did a while ago. Today I wanted to post about getting your children involved in some of the things you enjoy. Your kids can really learn from you. They will learn the skills by watching and observing and helping where they can. One of my hobbies is cakes. I hope you were able to check out my Cake Making 101 and my Cake Making 201 posts. Hopefully, those encourage you to dig in and try your hand at cake making…whether you make it simple or complex. I also gave you a couple of my favorite recipes, including my chocolate cake and white velvet cake. This is definitely a post highlighting things I have done with my kids in the past, but it is a way I was able to get my kids involved in my hobby.
While I was working on my cake, I made a couple large cupcakes for the kids. They were able to frost by themselves and have their hand at working with some left over fondant I had on hand. They had rolling pins and cookie cutters and had a blast. While I was working on this Mario Cake. they were able to do their own cakes.
