Day #53 Tip – Craft Supplies

Recently I have had a few friends admit that their not very “crafty.”  However, they’ve been inspired by this blog to do a bit more in that arena.  One comment made is that they have no idea what to buy to have on hand so that crafting doesn’t feel like a huge trip to the store every time.  They asked me to do a tip on what to have on hand so that crafting with kids is easily accessible.  Please don’t let the list overwhelm you.  Get what make sense for you for now.
First tip in this is the Dollar Store.  Go here first to stock up.  Here you can find so many things on the cheap.  You can pick out things that would inspire you or your kids, but I’m going to make a list of things I like to have on hand.  I was also asked for specifics, so I’m going to set some links below but feel free to shop around for something else…especially the card stock paper.  Look for paper you enjoy.  I buy mine at Michael’s or Joann’s with my 50% coupon.  These are just for my friends who wanted more direction.

  1. [...] I love cute crafts you can make from recycled material. It cuts down on cost and waste. Here’s a fun thing you can do with a water bottle, wrapping paper, an egg carton, paint, glue pipe cleaners and pom poms. We had all this stuff on hand. If you need a list of things to have on hand for a variety of crafts, here’s a post I did on craft supplies. [...]
