…not just on Valentine’s Day. This one doesn’t apply to me yet since I’ve got little ones. I thoroughly intend to follow my own advice when the time comes. I think it’s great advice for husbands too. Set it on your calendar and do it regularly but randomly. The note can just say, “I love you.” It can be more involved too – something wonderful you saw them do or a character quality that you see in them. This kind of affirmation can mean everything to kids especially when sometimes it seems like they have the rest of the world against them. You can also hide these notes in their bed, dresser, or other unexpected places.
Great idea! I too love to put notes in my husband’s lunch bag! Sometimes, when he finds it he texts me in the middle of the day! A fun way to stay connected.
