Day #37 Tip – Loving Hands, Loving Words, Loving Actions

·        This is one of our catch phrases when it comes to teaching our kids interactions with others.  If they have treated someone (usually a sibling) without this kind of love, part of our discussion with them involves this phrase.  I normally say something like, “In our family we have loving hands, loving words and loving actions.  Did you just have loving hands with your sister?”  We discuss what went wrong, how to make it right and let them try again.  Sometimes this involves further discipline depending on the offense, but this catch phrase has been a simple way for the kids to grasp how we treat one another.

  1. We also try to use key words like loving, kind, patient, self control and other fruits of the spirit to make what we are teaching our daughter about behaviour and character meaningful. I love this series that you’re doing and will revisit each post often! ;) x

  2. I’m always needing to work on “loving words”…….
