Week #3 Character Development – Self Control, Day #18

Self Control
”Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.”
Proverbs 25:28

Today we focused on understanding and memorizing our Bible Verse.  The way we did it is by taking all of our gift boxes and building a wall to create a city for them.  After the wall was constructed, I pretended to be the bad guy trying to break into the city.  I told them that since they have self control they are protected and safe.

Next I let the girls knock down the wall.
When the wall was knocked down, I penetrated.  I came in and tackled them and then tickled them relentlessly.  We then talked about how they weren’t safe because they did not have self control.  After that, we worked on memorizing the verse a bit more.  Of course, they wanted to build the wall and do it all over again, which we did.
