· I had fussy babies in the evening. I would bounce, doing the five s system from the happiest baby on the block (which actually works quite well), rock, and anything else I could think of to settle those crying babies. One night we were trying to calm our first born. I sat down on our exercise ball exhausted and began to bounce. Immediate silence. We called it the magic exercise ball from then on out and have since talked to many parents who have experienced the same success. It worked for all my babies.
