Day #25 – Microwave Puff Paint

Let me first off give the credit to One Crafty Mumma.  Hers turned out way cooler than ours.  She didn’t put an exact amount of water, so I’m wondering if I used too much or what.  This was our activity for the day, so you’ll get to see our version.  The girls had a lot of fun with the project too.

Materials:

* Self Rising Flour
* Salt
* Food Coloring
* Bowls
* Paint Brush

* Cardboard (we happen to have pizza the night before, so I just cut off the lids of the box)

You mix together in the bowls:
1 Tablespoon Self Rising Flour
1 Tablespoon Salt
Food coloring to your taste
A bit of water (I did 1 Tablespoon)
 Paint away on thick cardboard.  I encouraged the kids to try and put it on thick, which turns out better.  After you are done painting, put it in the microwave for 30 seconds.  It puffs up and dries there.
