Day #23 Tip – Find a Mentor

·         Have I mentioned how hard parenting is?  This is definitely the hardest thing I’ve done.  One of the reasons I am writing this blog is because I have felt, at times, completely lost as a mom.  I can’t tell you how many times a day I question how to parent.  I wonder if I’m doing it all right (which I’m not and never will) and wonder how to do it better.  I have been blessed to have some amazing mentors in my life and have an amazing church that equips parents to better raise this family.  The Pritchards (http://www.pritchardministries.org/) are a family I call often for advice.  They’ve given me a lot of the tips you see here.  I have many families I admire and watch.  I have so many peers that are amazing parents, and I observe and ask questions.  I watch parents in the grocery store to learn how to do it better or how not to do it at all.  I can’t emphasize enough that this blog isn’t a result of being a perfect parent.  It’s actually a result of feeling a bit stumped by the whole things.  I don’t know what I’d do without mentors guiding me and giving me solid advice.
