Materials Needed:
* Stock Paper
* Skewers
*Hot Glue Gun & Hot Glue
* Pencil
This is another super easy, fast craft. Don’t let the end result intimidate you.
First, cut out a square of paper. I made mine approximately 5″x5″. Next, cut that square into a circle. There is no need for exactness.
Then, You cut this paper into a spiral, starting from the outside and working your way in.
The next thing you do is start twisting the paper around itself starting from the outside and working in toward the center of the spiral.
After you finish twirling it around all the way to the center, it will look like this:
You can keep the flower tight or have it open up a bit. Then, you hot glue the base of the flower onto the center of the spiral.
Finally, you stick the skewer in to the base. I like to stick the pokey end up through and then turn it around, put a dob of glue on and stick the skewer into the flower. Here’s your end result.
Mix the paper flowers you make with the felt flowers from earlier this week for an interesting and fun bouquet.
Abby did the craft with me. Hers turned out like a four year old did it because…well…a four year old did it. I still think they’re really cute, and she had a lot of fun crafting with me while the little ones were napping. In retrospect, I could have drawn out the spiral for her to cut. Seeing as she did every one of these by herself with no aid from me (except for the hot glue gun, of course….I hope I don’t have to do a disclaimer to not let your four year old kids use the hot glue gun – I burnt myself a number of times in the process), I was super impressed. Slightly older kids will be able to rock on this project.
This is great! Would you please share this with our readers for Fun Stuff Fridays? http://www.toysinthedryer.com/2012/01/fun-stuff-fridays-6.html

This works really good with felt too. It’s how I made the girls’ headbands for Christmas this year. I love the whole bouquet!

Hi Jodi, the flowers are so adorable. I have a book of that scrapbooking paper and I think I just might try this project. How about some flowers in black and white? That would look sharp. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris

These are beautiful! I usually prefer the folded ones (there’s a how-to on my blog) but you made the simple ones just perfect! Love your color choice too!
I looked at your blog but couldn’t find it. Any way you could give me the direct link to that post?
